EU Open House Day – May 13, 2017

On May 13th, 2017 the European Union Embassies in DC will open their doors to the public for the annual Open House Day – a day of family fun, food, culture and more. The event offers visitors a rare look inside the embassies and provides a unique opportunity for them to experience the cultural heritage and national traditions of the 28 member states.

Slovenian embassy will feature a rich program with traditional music and food, including the cooking project called "Kuhnapato" (The Cooking Kids) with pupils from Primary School Sturje Ajdovscina exploring healthy Slovenian cuisine heritage of the dishes eaten in the past.

EU Delegation is also organizing a contest for the best photo of the event. Please find more information here.

This will also be an opportunity to bid farewell to our Ambassador dr. Božo Cerar who will be leaving his post in the U.S. at the end of May.
