Slovenian film I AM FRANK / JAZ SEM FRENK at the 2020 AFI European Union virtual Film Showcase from December 15 to 20

Now in its 33rd year, the AFI European Union Film Showcase continues its tradition of bringing the best in European cinema to our audiences. This year’s Showcase is presented online for the first time and most films, including the Slovenian film I AM FRANK aka EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT or in original JAZ SEM FRENK, will be available to viewers throughout the United States. See the schedule of the rest of the festival.

A film by Metod Pevec explores the tensions between the old and new ways of doing things in independent, post-Communist Slovenia, centered on a family dispute over an inheritance. The free-spirited but emotionally troubled Frank (Janez Škof), still an idealist about now-discarded socialist ideology, returns home for the reading of his late father's will. His father was a leader in the country's transition to
free market enterprise, but Frank suspects that the inheritance money may have been earned through illicit dealings. Frank's capitalist-minded brother Brane (Valter Dragan) believes he has the full right to the inheritance and retains lawyers and some of his father's shadier cronies to ensure that he collects it. Meanwhile, the dormant love triangle among the two brothers and Brane's wife Ines (Katarina Čas) comes back to the fore.

The film will be available from December 15-20. As long the title begins by December 20, the movie is available for 48 hours to complete the viewing. For further information about the film check this link
