MARJETICA POTRČ’S PROJECT: INVISIBLE LUNCH DISCUSSIONS - HIGHLIGHT OF THE IDEAS CITY FESTIVAL IN NEW YORK
IDEAS CITY explores the future of cities with culture as a driving force. A collaborative, civic, and creative enterprise, it builds on the New York’s New Museum’s mission of “New Art, New Ideas” by expanding the Museum beyond its walls into the civic realm. Through talks, panels, workshops, projects, performances, and exhibitions, IDEAS CITY investigates key issues, proposes solutions, and seeds concrete actions.
The theme for 2015 festival is The Invisible City. One of the featured projects of the festival is project Invisible Lunch Discussions by Marjetica Potrč. As part of the project, she and her Design for the Living World students at HFBK Hamburg will invite incognito speakers to address affordable housing and food at a ninety-foot-long table.
When: May 30, 2015 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. on the corner of Rivingston and Chrystie Street in NY
