Slovenian Minister of Defense awards honors to two American military officers
Washington D.C., 26 February 2020 - Minister of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia awarded Colonel James Bartholomees and Lieutenant Colonel Klaudius Robinson with Medals for International Cooperation, II Class. The medals were awarded at the Embassy of Slovenia in Washington D.C. by Ambassador Stanislav Vidovič.
Colonel James Bartholomees, who was Commander of the 173rd Airborne brigade, US Army Europe, stationed in Vicenza, Italy, invested an important effort to facilitate the execution of a large number of joint military trainings and contributed a great deal to the bilateral military relations between the Slovenian Armed Forces and the 173rd Airborne brigade.
Lieutenant Colonel Klaudius Robinson served as a resident Defense Attaché of the US Embassy in Slovenia in 2018 and 2019. During his mandate, Lt. Col. Robinson contributed to further strengthening of cooperation in the defense and military fields through his proactive approach and prompt and constructive communication.
In expressing their appreciation for the awards, they underlined it had been a pleasure and an honor to cooperate with Slovenian Army. They praised Slovenian soldiers saying: "They are the finest, you should be proud of them".
