Webinar on trade relations between Slovenia and USA with GEA College and heads of Slovenian and US Embassies

On Tuesday, March 23rd, the tenth and the last conference/webinar on Trans-Atlantic cooperation within the Entrepreneurship in the New Reality project was held, hosted by GEA College – Faculty of Entrepreneurship. Main speakers and guests were Ambassador of Slovenia to the United States Mr. Tone Kajzer and Chargé d’Affaires Susan K. Falatko from the US Embassy in Slovenia. Webinar was moderated by Thomas J. Brandi from Brandi Law who is also serving as the Honorary Consul of Slovenia to San Francisco.

The guests discussed how trade relations between the USA and Slovenia and broader with the whole EU have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, and about the importance of use of the new modern digital technologies and entrepreneurial knowledge for the fast recovery of the economy on both sides of the Atlantic. Furthermore they spoke about the most important sectors such as energy, logistics, pharmaceutics, automotive industry and space technologies and artificial intelligence where Ambassador Kajzer mentioned newly established International Research Center for Artificial Intelligence working under the auspices of UNESCO and also mentioned the key priorities of the incoming Slovenian EU Presidency in the second half of this year. They also focused on challenges for Slovenian and American companies entering respective markets and discussed the role of Diplomacy in the digital age.
